About the Cover

Cover Figure Cover. This month our cover features a beautiful and vibrant oil painting by artist Eileen Seitz titled, "Mayan Market," which was inspired by the traditional Mayan people and markets in Merida and Mexico City, Mexico. It was selected to celebrate Mexican culture and associate editor Felipe Gonzalez Castro, who wrote the Editor's Choice column for this issue (p 1162). We thank editorial board member Hector Balcazar for joyfully recruiting Dr Castro to serve the Journal, and past editorial board members Hortensia Amaro and Ruth Zambrana for their tireless and supportive efforts to address the health needs of Latino communities across settings and cultures.

Printed with permission of Absolute Arts. Available at: http://www.eileenseitz.com. Cover concept and selection by Aleisha Kropf. Additional support for this issue was provided by the Demographic and Behavioral Sciences Branch, Center for Population Research, National Institutes of Child Health and Human Development, Department of Health and Human Services, via project funds from "Love, Marriage, and HIV: A Multi-Site Study of Gender and HIV Risk" (R01 HD 041724, Jennifer S. Hirsch, PI).
