Cover. This month we pay special tribute to the profound contributions of international associate editor Cesar Gomes Victora, MD, PhD, of Pelotas, Brazil. After 5 devoted years with the formal editorial team of the Journal, he is moving on to devote more time to international child health priorities, the theme of this issue. According to Dr. Victora, "Research for improving child survival should not be restricted to the development of new drugs and vaccines-it also entails investigating the most effective and equitable delivery channels for ensuring that new technologies reach those who need them most." On the cover, a young Indian boy stands proudly for his portrait at Anandwan community in Warora, India. He challenges us to take child health seriously, and as a lasting homage to Dr. Victora's tenure with the Journal, we pledge to advance his cause.
