I started my service with the Journal in 2002. At that time, the Journal was transitioning to an online submission system and began publishing cover images each month. As the feature editor, my departments include Field Action Reports, Going Public, and Faces of Public Health. Together and individually they inspire a sense of service as they highlight innovative public health programs, debate public health issues, and celebrate public health figures, respectively. The theme of this month’s issue, "In Service," evokes for me images of organizations and people engaged in reflection, training, development, and growth.
