UPDATE ON ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS IN DUPLIN COUNTY

Thank you so much for the wonderful column about our environmental problems and concerns here in Duplin County, North Carolina.1 Mary E. Northridge’s effort has helped REACH attain a tremendous amount of leverage for REACH (Rural Empowerment Association for Community Help) and grassroots activities in our community. A staffperson at the US Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, DC, recently mentioned to us that he had seen the Journal’s piece on Duplin County. We have also sent the piece along with grant applications to potential funding agencies and organizations.
