THE REDUCTION OF INFANT MORATALITY
ANY PROGRAM FOR THE reduction of infant mortality, to be effective, must be directed toward the reduction of infant morbidity, or illness. We have seen how many and complex are the factors in living that affect the health and well-being of babies. An attempt to reduce the baby death rate by the simple expedient of treating sick babies is, of course, of little account.
